What is HBOT?
In Hyperbaric Treatment, patients breathe 100% oxygen in a monoplace pressurized chamber, allowing for maximized healing. Our multidisciplinary team of physicians and our unsurpassed clinical standards ensure our commitment to achieving outstanding patient outcomes. Across our portfolio nearly 85 percent of those diabetic patients facing amputation who instead choose hyperbaric medicine avoid the amputation and instead can lead higher quality and more productive lives.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a simple, non-invasive, painless treatment that enhances the body's natural healing and strengthens the immune system, resulting in more rapid and complete healing for patients. This treatment modality can benefit patients through 14 Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services ("CMS") approved indications, including:
♦Acute Arterial Insufficiency
♦Osteomyelitis
♦Radiation Injury/Necrosis
♦Necrotizing Infection
♦Compromised Skin Grafts and Flaps
•Diabetic Wounds of the Lower Extremity

The Center for Wound Healing, Inc. develops and manages hospital-based wound care centers that provide traditional wound care and hyperbaric ("HBOt") treatments to outpatients on an outsourced basis.
The physician-founders of our 11 year-old company have significantly changed the face of wound care treatment in the United States through the development of comprehensive wound care centers and the utilization of hyperbaric oxygen therapy for patients who can benefit from this particular treatment regimen. At the time of our inception in 1997, hyperbaric therapy was well regarded in emergency medicine, but was not a recognized modality in the treatment of non-healing wounds, particularly in the vascular community.
By forging sound relationships with world-renowned hospitals, doctors and universities, The Center for Wound Healing, Inc. ("CFWH") has brought hyperbaric oxygen therapy into the mainstream of wound and non-emergent treatment modalities. Today our company manages comprehensive wound care centers in 35 hospitals that serve communities from Boston to Philadelphia and Huntington, WVA, and many points in between. Diabetic patients make up approximately 80 percent of our patient population; doctors and medical professionals that include vascular surgeons, podiatrists, oncologists, oral surgeons, orthopedists, endocrinologists, plastic surgeons and various nursing professionals have found the extraordinary benefits that comprehensive wound care and hyperbaric medicine can be brought to bear to heal their patients; it is from these medical professionals that patients are referred to our wound care centers.
