About Us

The physician-founders of The Center for Wound Healing (TCFWH) have
significantly changed the face of wound care treatment in the United States
through the successful utilization of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. At the time
of our inception in 1997, hyperbaric therapy was well regarded in emergency
medicine, but was not a recognized modality in the treatment of non-healing
wounds, particularly in the vascular community.

Today, by forging sound relationships with world-renowned doctors and
universities, TCFWH has brought hyperbaric oxygen therapy into the mainstream
of wound and non-emergent treatment modalities.

In particular, we have formed a strong bond with the vascular and podiatric
communities, as well as affiliations with hospitals and private practices to assist
them in the provision of effective wound treatment.

While our competitors have talked about establishing multidisciplinary panels
that have largely failed, we have been working closely with major university
hospitals in some of the top medical markets in the world — along the
northeast corridor of the United States. These markets have typically adhered
to traditional medical thinking and have been difficult to penetrate. But our
results speak for themselves.

There were those who doubted that hyperbaric oxygen therapy was clinically
effective.  There were those who believed that obtaining reimbursement for
hyperbaric oxygen therapy was difficult. TCFWH has overcome both of these
concerns.
