This 40 year old white female presents w/ previous medical history of anaplastic astrocytoma at the age of 10 status post tumor resection followed with radiation postoperatively. Subsequently, pt presented with a non-healing chronic wound of the scalp [due to soft tissue breakdown] that has been present for over 30 years and not responding to conventional wound care or skin grafts. In 2004, adjuvant HBO therapy was started along with daily wound care. Response to HBO was immediate and dramatic after 30 sessions.
