Our philosophy is very simple: to provide leading edge, comprehensive wound care therapies on an outpatient basis in cooperation with our hospital partners. Since our company was founded by two doctors 11 years ago, we have strived to provide state-of-the art treatment modalities to patients in need of this panoply of services. Our doctor-founders remain active in our company, directing and managing the CFWH compliance organization that reviews and ensures the various center operations and performance standards are exceeding regulatory requirements. In addition, the doctors are involved in educational and training efforts for center, hospital and community medical professionals. All of our wound care centers reflect our strong commitment to compliance with all Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services ("CMS"), Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations ("JCAHO"), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA") standards.
Each of our centers is managed by a medical professional who is trained in comprehensive wound care techniques as well as organizational practices. In addition, each center has a medical director, usually the chief of surgery or the chairman of a particular department within the hospital, who works with our program managers and staff to ensure our work with various medical professionals and patients is in accordance with the standards and objectives for the center.
